General Information:
Department of Management Studies, with the aim to provide standard of excellence in order to encourage students to integrate with the global community, was established in 2002 with BBA course. The department aspires to be a department of global excellence in the field of management to produce highly qualified and value-oriented managers. The department is known as BMS because of change in nomenclature following the University Grants Commission template on Under Graduate courses under Choice Based Credit System and approved by the University of Calcutta. It is effective for students enrolled from the academic session 2017-18.
The department has been granted AICTE approval for under graduate course in Management Studies with effect from July 2024.
Course Highlights:
The BMS department has successfully implemented the syllabus in accordance with the NEP (National Education Policy) from 2023-2024 academic year, focusing on multidisciplinary education, skill enhancement, and flexibility in course choices. The program is unique given the core values it imparts in terms of Intellectual Depth, Leadership Skills, and Social Responsibility. St. Xavier's approach to management education aims at the holistic formation of future leaders with unmatched professional competence and a strong ethical perspective.

- Provide an understanding of doing business internationally with a blend of entrepreneurship

Eligibility Criteria
Passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent recognized by the University of Calcutta in all recognized subjects including English and Mathematics / Business Mathematics / Statistics / Applied Mathematics.
Subject Requirement
Mathematics / Business Math / Stats / Applied Math is mandatory. Subjects must have a full marks value of at least 100.
Year of Passing
Maximum lapse of 5 years from the year of passing the qualifying exam (excluding the year of admission).
Selection Weightage
Shortlisting is based on the combined score of both components.

Mandatory Documents for Entry
- Acknowledgement Card: Original hard copy. The pasted photograph must be duly attested by the Principal/Headmaster of the last school attended.
- Payment Receipt: Original hard copy of the Paid Bank or Online payment slip.
- Photo ID Proof: Original valid ID (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, or Voter ID).
Examination Conduct
- Reporting: Candidates must enter the centre at least 30 minutes before the test begins.
- No entry will be permitted once the examination has commenced.
- Candidates must remain in their assigned seats until the test is over or until granted explicit permission by the invigilator.
- Parents and Guardians are strictly not allowed inside the College campus.
